Summer Getaways Essentials

Now that the weather and water are both warming up fast and weekend getaways/Summer vacations are soon to be in full swing, I wanted to share some of my favorite items that will be along for all of my Summer adventures!

Summer Getaways Essentials

J. Crew Tunic // Panama Hat // Lifeproof Case // Monogrammed Bandeau Bikini Top // Ray Ban Aviators // Bikini Bag // Lilly Pulitzer Croakies // Beach Towel/Blanket (Less expensive option here) // Polo Hat // Vera Bradley Travel Jewelry Case // Sunscreen // Lilly Pulitzer Resort Tote // Kate Spade Tumbler // Columbia PFG // Kate Spade Live Colorfully Roller Ball Perfume // Tory Burch Miller Sandals

I hope y'all had an amazing holiday weekend! Memorial Day always seems to kick off the Summer for me, which is probably why I like it so much- It also never hurts to have a three day weekend ;) I happily spent my time by the river casually draped in PFGs, baseball caps and bug spray but I'm also really looking forward to the more dainty getaways where I can sport my favorite tunics and sun hats. What are some of your getaway essentials?

Navy Stripes

Striped Top // Skirt // Cardigan (exact color is sold out) // Kendra Scott Necklace // Earrings // Crossbody // Wedges

So, I didn't realize until I started linking things that this entire outfit is basically J. Crew Factory. Promise I didn't do it on purpose.

Even after I realized how (accidently) boring this outfit is- I still decided to show it because this time of year (and through August), I often have a hard time coming up with outfits to wear to work that are Summer-y but still office appropriate. PS- I'm lucky to work in a very casual office, where open-toed wedges are acceptable- but flats or loafers would also look great with this.  :)

Red Floral

This top is one of my favorites right now.
The red floral is insanely eye-catching and the little cutouts make it so fun.

In addition to the small cutouts on each shoulder,
there's also a slit down the back of the shirt (hidden by skirt and mermaid hair).
This skirt was an eBay find a few years ago for about $8 and hasn't gotten much use but
after this- I think I have a new found obsession with A-line skirts.

I have a feeling I'll be in this skirt quite a few more times this Summer...
My favorite thing about it? ... It has pockets!
Francesca's Top //  Skirt (old), Similar options here, here, here & here  // SM NY Heels, similar // Necklace (old), Similar here and here  // J. Crew Bracelet // Michael Kors Watch

Even though I played it down a little by tucking it into the skirt and hiding the back detailing, this shirt can easily stand alone as a statement piece with chinos and simple jewelery.

Let's talk about these shoes for a second- I've been eying this style of slingback booties for months but wouldn't let myself cave to buy a pair, not even when I found the Target version for less than $40. BUT, I really wanted them. Like enough to where I was doing a Google search to find similar styles and where did I end up? ... Sears! (Random right?) With an added sale, I ended up getting these beauts for $15, so no complaints here.

I hope everyone had an amazing Mother's Day weekend! The wedding I was in was perfect- I had an absolute blast and am still trying to recover from all the festivities.

Dolman Meets Dress

This week I've teamed up with toADORN- an amazing boutique deals site that features flash sales on clothing, jewelry, home decor and sooo much more! Each item lasts for only three days and new deals are posted daily.
 (Join here)

I've always liked that the 'batwing' design of dolman tops provides a little extra space in the shoulder/arm pit area and allows for the sleeves to be pushed up without looking too scrunched. Plus, they are so. dang. comfortable. This cropped dolman top from toADORN is no exception- It's probably the softest shirt I've ever owned and it goes perfectly with high waisted shorts, skirts or over a dress like I chose to do. With that being said, this top is great for layering- Perfect in the Spring to calm down a Summery dress OR in the Fall under a jean jacket with a scarf and darker colored maxi skirt.

To find similar tops and other amazing deals- check out toADORN- you won't be disappointed!
